Born in Kitzbühl, after his Abitur (equivalent to A Levels) in 1986 he received his qualification as a hotel manager. In 1993 Frank Hörl was attracted to Frankfurt to then work from 1997 as Resident Manager for the 'Grand Hotel Preanger Aerowisata' close to Jakarta. His next posting was in Berlin where he worked as Operations Manager. In June 2000 he expanded his international horizons to Malta. After a little more than three years he received an offer to go to Barbados. At that time he was the youngest General Manager at 35 years old and decided, however, to manage an internationally renowned hotel in Cologne. In 2007 Frank Hörl changed positions within the hotel group to be General Manager in Frankfurt and has now returned to Berlin.
