Medical Park Berlin Humboldtmühle
Intensive Care Unit
The Medical Park Berlin Humboldtmühle Clinic possesses a modern intensive care unit with a total of eight beds. The unit accepts patients from intensive care units of acute hospitals to wean them from the respirator and to make it possible for these severely affected patients to undergo early intensive rehabilitation. The Intensive Care Unit – a novelty in Specialist Clinics for rehabilitation – is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment. Neurologists and cardiologists care for the patients together in order to fulfil all aspects of the therapy. Four intensive care beds are equipped with respirators, the rest are designed as IMC beds. For trips outside of the Intensive Care Unit, for example for computer tomography, there is a mobile respirator. To prepare bedside and other X-ray images there is a mobile digital X-ray device. The evaluation of the images is ensured at all times by the radiology department.
