Ergotherapy
The objectives of ergotherapy are the regaining and preservation of the ability to act, thus ensuring the greatest possible independence in daily life and work with the least possible dependence on aids or carers. Neurological treatment is focused predominantly on disorders of the central nervous system, i.e. the spinal cord and brain. There can also be a combination of one or more motoric or neurophysiological problems. In order to be able to narrow down the primary objectives and the individual steps towards their achievement, the first step in the treatment process is always to assess the current clinical findings which then leads on to the definition of the treatment targets. In cooperation with the patient, the ergotherapists develop a treatment plan.
