Our cosy Café Mendelssohn invites you to relax and have a chat.

In the café there is room for 28 guests with nine further seats at the bar. In the warm season we also open the terrace from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Tegel.  

In addition to a selection of fresh cakes that changes daily, our range of foods include a large selection of standard tea and coffee specialities, health drinks, soft drinks and beers from regional and national breweries, national and international wines as well as a selection of snacks.

We have named the cafe after the Mendelssohn family who achieved great things over seven generations that extend far beyond Berlin. Arguably the most well-known name is the composer and conductor Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. Other members of the family worked as business people and financiers, as artists and scientists and always as patriots and Europeans.
