Medical Park Bad Rodach
Orthopaedics
The main focus of Orthopaedics is on the follow-up treatment after joint replacements of the hip joint, knee joint and shoulder joint as well as the follow-up treatment after accident injuries and bone fractures. Patients also receive the best-possible care after disc surgery or surgical arthrodesis procedures, for degenerative or inflammatory joint disorders, soft tissue rheumatism or osteoporosis. In addition, we treat functional disorders of the locomotor system and provide care and rehabilitation after amputations.
In the Department of Orthopaedics at Medical Park Bad Rodach, we treat both congenital and acquired disorders of the locomotor and support system, as well as disorders resulting from accidents and injuries. We provide both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation treatment. Individual rehabilitation objectives are jointly defined with the patient, based on the diagnostic findings, which take into account the age and general condition of the patient, previous treatments and the nature of the disorder or injury which requires treatment.
The main objectives of our treatment are to relieve pain and to improve impaired-joint or spinal functions, muscular strength and coordination, as well as improving the general condition and cardiopulmonary capacity of the patient. We want to restore patients' mobility and functional capacity to enable them to continue to participate as fully as possible in their working and daily lives. Towards that end, patients are treated by an interdisciplinary team of doctors, psychologists, physiotherapists, sports therapists, ergotherapists, masseurs and nursing staff. The treatment of rheumatic disorders in particular takes place in close cooperation with the Department of Internal Medicine.
